Green Key Gold for all Postillion Hotels
Your organization’s CSR objectives reinforce your modern vision. Postillion Hotels responds to this strategic direction with a progressive environmental and CSR policy. We are actively committed to environmental care and CSR. In doing so, we go beyond the legal requirements.
The Green Key is the international quality mark for sustainability and CSR in the tourism, recreation, meeting, and conference location industry. Green Key Netherlands has Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels, depending on the number of CSR measures. All our hotels operate at the highest level: Gold.
How does this benefit you as a guest?
- All hotels are equipped with the latest energy-efficient LED and T5 lighting.
- The kitchen makes extensive use of organic and environmentally friendly products and ingredients. Our breakfast contains as little packaging as possible. You take exactly the amount of cheese, sugar, milk, etc. that you need, and we produce less waste.
- Our soap dispensers are environmentally friendly and completely biodegradable. The soap in all bathrooms has the EKO quality mark (certified organic product from a company that pays extra attention to sustainability).
- You decide when you want us to wash your towels and linen. By not washing everything every day as standard, we save a lot of water and the textiles last longer.
- The shower heads and taps are set to be economical, while maintaining shower comfort. This allows you to save water while showering.
Four YOIN certificates for Postillion Hotels
Attention with impact pays off. This has recently been confirmed once again by YOIN excellent meeting places. This organization has announced that Postillion Hotel Amersfoort Veluwemeer, Postillion Hotel Bunnik, Postillion Hotel Dordrecht, Postillion Hotel Amsterdam, and Postillion Hotel Deventer have been awarded the YOIN excellent meeting places certificate. This is the hallmark of quality for conference and hotel locations.
YOIN excellent meeting places replaces the meeting room quality mark. The criteria for awarding the certificate remain the same: you only receive it if you are a leader in your field and continuously strive to improve quality, innovation, and craftsmanship. We are proud to meet these requirements and consider it an honor that our efforts have been rewarded. We are now even more motivated to ensure that all our locations are distinguished with this prestigious certificate.
Hotels for trees
Want to promote reforestation together? At Postillion Hotels, you can. How does it work? When you book a multi-day stay with us, you can use the special Hotels for Trees door hanger. This door hanger indicates that the room does not need to be cleaned for one or more days. At the end of each day, the number of rooms with the door hanger is added up and converted into a donation for Hotels for Trees.
In turn, this organization invests in reforestation projects at home and abroad.
Plant First: exceptionally delicious
Postillion Hotels now serve Plant First! This means that our entire food offering — from lunch and dinner buffets to walking dinners and snacks — is plant-based by default. Flavorful, surprising, and with minimal impact on the environment.
Prefer animal-based proteins such as meat, fish, or dairy? This option is still available, with a small contribution of €0.25 per dish. The full amount is donated to Trees for All and used for certified projects that compensate CO₂ emissions.
